According to sea-news.az that immediately after receiving information about the deaths and injuries of Azerbaijani citizens as a result of the drone attack on cargo vessels in the Sea of Azov, staff members of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia were dispatched to the area.
According to the statement, employees of the Embassy’s Consular Section are currently in the city of Yeysk, where they are providing the necessary consular assistance to injured and rescued Azerbaijani citizens. The condition of the injured individuals is reported to be stable, and several of them are expected to be discharged from hospital in the near future.
The relevant authorities of the Russian Federation continue search-and-rescue operations, including the identification of those who lost their lives and the implementation of other necessary procedures.
At the same time, measures are being taken to complete documentation procedures for the rescued Azerbaijani citizens, provide them with emergency travel documents, and organize their return to Azerbaijan.
The statement also notes that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan is keeping the matter under close supervision and is coordinating closely with the relevant authorities.
Additional information regarding the identities of the deceased and the repatriation of their bodies to Azerbaijan will be provided to the public in due course.
