In accordance with the joint Action Plan of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, a “Clean Air” Month will be held across the country from October 1 to November 1 this year.

Sea-news.az reports that the Main State Traffic Police Department (MSTPD) has issued an appeal to drivers in this regard.

It was stated that within the framework of the month, awareness and control measures are scheduled to be implemented to reduce harmful emissions released into the atmosphere during vehicle operation and to protect the environment.

The MSTPD called on drivers to pay attention to the technical roadworthiness of their vehicles, particularly the condition of the engine and exhaust systems.

“Operating vehicles that emit harmful pollutants into the atmosphere in excess of established standards negatively impacts the environment and human health. Drivers are kindly requested to service their vehicles regularly, rectify faults, and maintain their vehicles in compliance with established environmental requirements. Protecting clean air and a healthy environment is a shared responsibility of us all,” the appeal emphasized.
