A number of routes operation schemes are being changed

Due to the “Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2026” to be held in Baku, traffic restrictions will be applied to a number of capital roads.

Sea-news.az reports that in accordance with the restrictions, the movement of regular and express buses will be organized via alternative streets.

From September 19 at 21:00 to September 21 at 00:00, the operation schemes of 13 routes are being changed:

  • Routes Nos. 1, 2, 4, 10, 20, 32, 46, 88A, 120, 120E, and H1 will operate via Dilara Aliyeva and Kevkap Safaraliyeva streets, Neftchilar Avenue, and then along their regular routes;
  • Route No. 125 will operate via Neftchilar Avenue, Rashid Behbudov, and Dilara Aliyeva streets;
  • The movement of express route No. M9 in the direction of “Hazi Aslanov” m/st. will be provided via Dilara Aliyeva and Kevkap Safaraliyeva streets, Neftchilar Avenue, and then along its regular scheme.

From September 21 to 26, the operation schemes of 26 routes are being changed:

  • Routes Nos. 1, 2, 4, 20, 46, 88A, 120, 120E, and H1 will operate via Kevkap Safaraliyeva Street and Neftchilar Avenue;
  • The movement of routes Nos. 20, 88A, and 120E in the direction of the city center will be organized via Afiyaddin Jalilov, Yusif Safarov, and 28 May streets;
  • The movement of route No. M9 in the direction of “Elmlar Akademiyasi” m/st. will be organized via Yusif Safarov, 28 May, and Rashid Behbudov streets. In the opposite direction, buses will operate via Dilara Aliyeva and Kevkap Safaraliyeva streets, Neftchilar Avenue, and then along their regular schemes;
  • Route No. 5 will serve in two directions: the first direction will cover “Nariman Narimanov” m/st. – Suleyman Rahimov Street, and the second direction will cover Salyan Highway – Bibi-Heybat Mosque – Baku Funicular (Bahram Gur statue);
  • Route No. 6 will operate in two directions: the first direction will cover “Azadlig prospekti” m/st. – Akhundov Garden, and the second direction will cover 20th Area – Bahram Gur statue;
  • The movement of route No. 61 in the direction of the Central Bank will be organized via Samad Vurghun, Shamsi Badalbayli, and Rashid Behbudov streets (final stop);
  • The movement of route No. 65 in the direction of “Icherisheher” m/st. will be provided via Murtuza Mukhtarov, Ahmad Javad streets, and Azerbaijan Avenue (final stop);
  • The movement of route No. 88 in the direction of “28 May” m/st. will be organized via Azadlig Avenue and Fizuli Street (final stop);
  • The movement of routes Nos. 10, 18, 31, 37, 53, 77, and 205 in the direction of “Icherisheher” m/st. will be provided via Sheikh Shamil, Lermontov, and Bunyad Sardarov streets (final stop);
  • The movement of route No. 125 in the direction of “28 May” m/st. will be organized via Lokbatan Circle – Silk Road (Ring Road) – Mikayil Mushfig Street – Badamdar Circle – Mikayil Mushfig Street – Abdulla Shaig Street – Mirzaagha Aliyev Street – Shamsi Badalbayli Street – Azadlig Avenue – Dilara Aliyeva Street – Pushkin Street (final stop);
  • Routes Nos. 149 and 149E will operate from Sahil settlement to “Bina” shopping center (“Lokbatan” Transport Exchange Center);
  • Route No. 195E will operate from Alat settlement to “Bina” shopping center (“Lokbatan” Transport Exchange Center).

Note that the operations of routes Nos. 72 and E1 will be temporarily suspended.
