The Baku Shipyard LLC has carried out repairs on more than 170 vessels to date.
According to sea-news.az citing Report, Chairman of the Management Board Ruslan Talibov stated that since the beginning of its operations, the facility has also successfully completed 14 shipbuilding projects.
He noted that the repaired and constructed vessels include a wide range of ship types such as the “Khankandi” subsea construction vessel, dredgers and tugboats, semi-submersible drilling rig pontoons and upper decks, passenger and ferry vessels, as well as tankers carrying oil and chemical products. These achievements highlight the shipyard’s significant role in the country’s industrial and transport sectors.
Talibov added that the shipyard has an annual production capacity of up to 25,000 tons of ship steel structures. Based on its current capabilities, the facility can build either four 15,000-ton tankers per year or alternatively two 60,000–70,000-ton “Caspian Max” type tankers, as well as construct up to four different vessels simultaneously.
At present, the shipyard’s order portfolio includes 17 vessels, with 11 under construction and 6 in the design phase. Among these are two multi-purpose dry cargo and container ships ordered by AD Ports Group, which are considered particularly significant.
According to the report, main equipment and materials for the projects have already been secured, while hull construction is progressing in stages. For the H128 project, two blocks have been completed and work continues on five additional blocks, while two blocks are currently under production for the H129 project. Delivery of the vessels is planned for 2028.
