On July 24, a rowing event will be held in the city of Gazakh, which has been selected as the “Sports Capital,” jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation.
According to sea-news.az that athletes will perform demonstrations in rowing, kayaking, and canoeing at the water reservoir located within the Heydar Aliyev Park. In addition, residents and guests of the city will have the opportunity to try rowing in boats intended for amateurs under the supervision of professional coaches.
The main goal of the event is to promote water sports in the regions, increase the interest of adolescents and youth in rowing, and contribute to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
