Today, July 2, the Azerbaijani police are celebrating the 108th anniversary of their establishment and their professional holiday. With over a century of honorable history, the internal affairs bodies have provided significant service in strengthening statehood, maintaining public order, combating crime, and ensuring the rights and freedoms of citizens.
According to sea-news.az the historical development path of the Azerbaijani police is regarded as an example of dedication, high professionalism, and loyalty to the Motherland. The first police bodies created in 1918, during the period of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR) under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, played an exceptional role in protecting the national interests and internal security of our independent state. In subsequent historical stages, internal affairs bodies developed through structural improvements, forming rich experience and a solid material-technical base in the fields of combating crime and strengthening the law enforcement system.
