Natalya Fatyanova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of “Operation of Ship Power Plants” of the Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy (ASMA) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Technical Sciences, has been elected as a member of the Editorial Board of the journal “Applied Chemical Engineering (ACE),” which is recognized in the international scientific community and indexed in the Scopus scientific citation database.
According to sea-news.az Natalya Fatyanova has been engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities at ASMA for many years. Her scientific research primarily covers the fields of ship hull corrosion protection, the application of modern paint and varnish coatings, and increasing corrosion resistance using nanomaterials. In 2025, N. Fatyanova successfully defended her thesis on the topic “Increasing the corrosion resistance of the ship hull through the use of nanofillers in paint and varnish coatings” and obtained the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Technical Sciences. Her scientific findings were received with great interest in local and international scientific circles.
Her election to the Editorial Board of the “Applied Chemical Engineering (ACE)” journal is another indicator of the high international evaluation of her scientific achievements, research activities, and professional competencies.
