Record Cargo Turnover at Baku Port

These indicators demonstrate a steady upward trend in both overall cargo turnover and container traffic at Baku Port.

According to sea-news.az that the ~11% increase in May compared to the previous year, reaching 812,000 tons, along with more than 50,000 TEU handled over five months, clearly signals the gradual strengthening of cargo flows along the Middle Corridor. In particular, a 9% rise in container traffic reflects a more stable and structured logistics flow, as TEU growth is typically associated with the expansion of transit and international trade networks.

If this trend continues in the second half of the year, further growth in both transit volumes and the region’s competitive logistics position can be expected.
