“We plan to develop the Port of Aktau in cooperation with Kazakhstan Railways. In addition, we envision the construction of 14 terminals along the Middle Corridor.”
Sea-news.az reports that Tobias Bartz, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Germany’s Rhenus Group, informed Kazakh media representatives of this initiative.
He noted that the terminals will be constructed across the sections of the corridor passing through Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye: “Subsequently, they will be connected with our company’s networks in Europe, where we operate 23 container ports and 70 port sites. This project will integrate Central Asian and European logistics into a single network.”
