The State Service for Control over Small Vessels and Water Rescue under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan has continued its awareness campaigns on the safe operation of small craft.
A series of events on the topic “Safe Operation of Small Vessels” was held in several locations, including Alat settlement in Garadagh district of Baku, Niyazoba village in Khachmaz, Narimanabad settlement in Lankaran, the banks of the Kura River in Mingachevir, and Banka settlement in Neftchala.
During the events, participants were provided with detailed information on the technical equipment of small vessels, operational requirements, and safety regulations. It was emphasized that such vessels must undergo mandatory technical inspections in accordance with legislation, and operators must obtain the appropriate licensing.
Participants were also given practical guidance on the use of both collective and individual life-saving equipment, as well as the proper application of navigation devices.
At the end of the events, informational brochures were distributed to vessel users.
