ASMA Scientific Council holds its regular meeting

On May 13, 2026, the Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy (ASMA) held another meeting of its Scientific Council.

Chaired by Acting Rector Eldar Qocayev, the meeting first heard reports on the teaching and research activities of the “Ship Mechanics and Electromechanics” and “Ship Navigation” faculties for the reporting period. Within the academy’s branding strategy, new official emblems were discussed and approved.

The agenda also included preparations for the spring examination session of the 2025/2026 academic year. A draft order ensuring a more transparent, objective, and efficient exam process was reviewed and adopted.

A working group was established to align administrative and educational processes with modern digital standards, develop an “Electronic Academy” environment, and prepare a unified digital transformation strategy. The group was tasked with expanding digital skills, enhancing e-document management, and improving the Teaching Management System (TMS).

During the meeting, it was also decided to submit a proposal to the Higher Attestation Commission for awarding the academic title of Associate Professor to PhD in Mathematics Behruz Agarzayev. In addition, new textbooks, monographs, and course syllabi in the maritime field were approved for publication.

At the end of the meeting, relevant departments were assigned tasks related to the organization of the 2025/2026 graduation ceremony.
