A regular meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy.
The meeting, chaired by Eldar Gojayev, Acting Rector of ADA, reviewed reports on the progress of pre-graduation internships for the 2025/2026 academic year, as well as preparation for both training (sea-going) and production internships. During the discussions, relevant decisions were adopted regarding the alignment of internship logbooks with the requirements of the STCW Convention and the recommendations of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) model courses, the renewal of agreements with shipping companies, and the timely provision of students with appropriate seafarer documents.
The meeting also discussed preparations for the spring semester examination session of the 2025/2026 academic year, as well as the establishment of a working group aimed at organizing students’ leisure time effectively and increasing their social activity through the formation of clubs and associations.
At the end of the meeting, in order to optimize the work of commissions operating under the Scientific Council, changes were made to the composition of the Education and Science Commission. According to the decision, the commission will now be chaired by Irada Suleymanova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Head of Teaching Organization and Management, who also serves as Deputy Chair of the Scientific Council.
