He emphasized that the programs are being revised in accordance with Decision No. KQ-05 of the Board of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 2, 2024, focusing on modernizing content without changing the official names of the specializations.

Later, Asadullah Suleymanov, Head of the Department for Organization of the Educational Process, provided detailed information on the methodology for updating curriculum content.

During discussions, heads of departments and relevant staff highlighted the importance of aligning the programs with international maritime standards, labor market requirements, and modern technological trends. It was also emphasized that the revised programs should be submitted to the Academic Council for review in the near future, based on recommendations from the State Maritime and Port Agency.

The development of new educational programs is considered significant for improving the quality of education at the academy, training highly qualified maritime specialists in line with international standards, and strengthening the competitiveness of Azerbaijan in the global maritime sector.

The adaptation of curricula to modern challenges is expected to enhance students’ professional competencies and contribute to the advancement of digitalization, automation, and innovative technologies in the maritime industry.
