Türkiye’s first floating production, storage, and offloading platform, “Osman Gazi,” is fully prepared to deploy to the Sakarya gas field in the Black Sea.

Sea-news.az reports citing Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, daily gas production in the Black Sea currently stands at approximately 9.5 million cubic meters.

Once the platform becomes operational, daily output will double to reach 20 million cubic meters. Consequently, the number of households powered by domestic natural gas will rise from 4 million to 8 million. The “Osman Gazi” platform, designed for a 20-year operational lifecycle, is projected to contribute 3.5 billion USD annually to the national economy.
