The United States is re-evaluating its approach regarding the Falkland Islands, according to US President Donald Trump.
Sea-news.az reports citing Kp.ru, that Trump made the statement during a press briefing at the White House.
The head of state did not clarify whether this process would lead to a tangible shift in Washington’s policy concerning the disputed archipelago. Since 1982, the United States has preferred to maintain neutrality regarding the sovereignty of the islands, which are controlled by the United Kingdom and claimed by Argentina.
Addressing the matter, President Trump stated: “I am constantly reviewing all of our positions. And this is one of them.”
