Following a season-long series of training sessions, the most exciting stage for young sailors has kicked off. Based on the results of the Summer School, a selection stage is being held to determine the main squad that will represent the team in future competitions.
Sea-news.az reports that participants are demonstrating their skills in catching the wind, maneuvering at sea, executing starts, and handling sailing boats (particularly in the Optimist and Laser classes).
The coaching staff is evaluating the athletes’ endurance, reaction speed, ability to adapt to sudden changes conditions at sea, and internal team coordination skills. Young athletes who successfully pass the selection stage will be recruited into the main team to participate in national and international regattas and championships.
