In July of this year, the volume of truck and vehicle transport via the ferries of ASCO, one of the companies within AZCON Holding, increased significantly compared to the same month last year.
Sea-news.az reports citing ASCO specifically, in July 2026, ferries transported 108,649 tons of trucks and vehicles, up from 78,299 tons in July of last year. As a result, the monthly transport volume rose by 30,350 tons, or 39%.
Transport volumes also grew in terms of unit count. In July 2026, ferries carried 4,282 trucks and vehicles, compared to 3,125 units in July 2025. Thus, the number of shipments grew by 1,157 units, or 37%.
According to the results of the first seven months of the year, ASCO ferries carried a total of 623,682 tons of trucks and vehicles, compared to 565,224 tons in the same period last year. This represents an increase of 58,458 tons, or 10%.
During the reporting period, unit-based transport also increased, with ferries carrying 23,824 trucks and vehicles. In the January–July period of 2025, this figure was 22,395 units. Consequently, the number of shipments over the seven-month period rose by 1,429 units, or 6%.
