A fire broke out on a moving tour boat in the bay located in the Fethiye district of Mugla province.

It was reported that the incident was recorded around 11:00 AM in Fethiye’s Katrancı Bay. 115 passengers, including children, put on life jackets and jumped into the sea, and operations to evacuate them were initiated. According to the information, the fire broke out in the kitchen area of a boat named Toys Boat, and flames engulfed the entire vessel in a short period of time.
Coast Guard, Maritime Safety, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The rescue operation for the passengers who threw themselves into the sea began, and other maritime vessels in the area closely assisted with the rescue efforts.
It is reported that a large portion of the vessel burned and has begun to sink. According to preliminary data, no loss of life has been recorded as a result of the accident.
Appropriate investigations have been launched to determine the causes of the fire.
