Pakistan has condemned the Houthis’ attack on a commercial vessel in the Red Sea, which resulted in the deaths of three citizens of the country.

Sea-news.az reports that Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated this on the “X” social network.

“I learned about the tragic incident regarding the attack on a commercial vessel in the Red Sea. According to current information, three Pakistani citizens were killed and one was injured as a result of the incident. Pakistan strongly condemns the Houthi attack on the commercial vessel,” he wrote.

Dar noted that such attacks endanger human lives, violate international law, and pose a serious threat to freedom of navigation, maritime security, and the safety of commercial shipping in the Red Sea.

He also stated that Islamabad is continuing contacts with the authorities of Saudi Arabia, as well as the internationally recognized government of Yemen, to determine further details of the incident.
