Athletes of the Water Sports Federation who achieved success in international competitions have been awarded.
Sea-news.az reports that the Central Aran Regional Youth and Sports Department presented honorary diplomas to rowing and canoeing athletes who achieved high results in international tournaments in July-August, as well as to their coaches.
As part of our rowing team’s lineup, Ziya Mammadzada and Nurlan Pashayev, who won a silver medal in a double boat at the European Championship held in Varese, Italy, along with coach Volodymyr Morozov, were awarded.
As part of the canoeing national team, Tatyana Smilovenko, who became the European runner-up in Hungary, and her coach Alexander Zhukovsky also received honorary diplomas.
The awards were presented by Azad Gozelov, the head of the Central Aran Regional Youth and Sports Department.
