For the first time in the last 3 weeks, a Qatar-owned liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker has successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz.
Sea-news.az reports that the “Fars” news agency disseminated information about this.
According to the information, the Qatari tanker left the Strait of Hormuz after receiving the relevant permission from official Tehran, moving along the route approved by Iran.
Based on ship-tracking data from the Bloomberg agency, the tanker crossed the Strait of Hormuz with its transponder active and entered the Gulf of Oman.
Data from the MarineTraffic platform also showed that the vessel was heading towards Pakistan.
