Decarbonization in the marine industry is currently one of the most discussed topics. Naturally, decarbonization is a rather complex and difficult process. Alongside its technical side, there are issues related to rules and regulations, as well as the human factor.
According to sea-news.az that World Maritime University professor Aykut Olcer said these words in an exclusive interview with AZERTAC.
He noted that major changes are difficult to occur in the short term, and in the near future, the main focus should be directed towards increasing energy efficiency.
“We are closely monitoring Azerbaijan’s development in this field. In particular, Azerbaijan has shaped its position in the digital era and continues its development. I am sure that it will successfully continue its path of development in the field of decarbonization and new technologies,” the professor stated.
