The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reported that two tankers have exploded in the Strait of Hormuz after allegedly violating shipping regulations.
According to sea-news.az that, according to the IRGC’s claims, the vessels attempted to navigate a dangerous route in the southern part of the strait after being allegedly compelled to do so by U.S. military forces. As a result of the explosions, the tankers are unable to continue their voyage.
The statement emphasized that the presence of U.S. armed forces in the region lacks legal standing and that Iran intends to respond to the actions of the American side.
Furthermore, the IRGC has warned that until U.S. operations are halted, this route can no longer be considered safe for vessels transporting oil, gas, and chemical substances through the Strait of Hormuz.
