According to sea-news.az that Sattar Gazanfar oglu Manafov, a 1-st Rank Captain (Colonel) in the reserve who served in various positions within the Naval Forces for nearly 40 years, has passed away.
In addition to his service in the Naval Forces, Sattar Manafov served as a department head at the Azerbaijan Higher Naval Academy and as the Chief of the Training and Education Center. He was also a veteran of the First Karabakh War.
The deceased was laid to rest in his hometown of Neftchala.
