Two oil tankers have exploded and caught fire after hitting a mined route in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to sea-news.az that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has released information regarding the incident.

“An hour ago, two oil tankers, which the Americans deceitfully forced to navigate through a mined route in the southern part of the Strait of Hormuz, exploded and caught fire,” the statement said.

The IRGC Navy, for its part, emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed to vessel transit due to the high risk created by U.S. activities.
