Kazakhstan has presented new logistics opportunities regarding the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) in Vienna.

During the meeting of the Austria-Kazakhstan Connectivity Platform, Anuar Akhmetzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, provided information on projects being implemented to increase the capacity of transport corridors, integrate logistics chains, and develop infrastructure. According to him, approximately 85 percent of land-based rail freight transport between China and Europe currently passes through the territory of Kazakhstan. Over the past five years, the volume of transit shipments has increased by 60 percent.
Special attention was paid to the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route during the event. Together with its international partners, “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” is working on the phased elimination of “bottlenecks” in infrastructure, connecting terminals located in various countries into a single, seamless network, and fully digitizing logistics operations.
According to the company, the transition to a digital format in document circulation has allowed for the reduction of cargo processing time from several hours to just a few minutes. This serves to strengthen the position of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route as a reliable, transparent, and competitive transport corridor in the global market.
