According to sea-news.az that the publication notes a decline in the sea level in recent years as a result of climate change, decreased precipitation, and reduced water flow in the rivers feeding into the Caspian. It is stated that this process creates serious ecological and economic challenges for the countries in the region.
The article emphasizes that the Caspian Sea is distinguished not only by its rich energy resources but also by its unique ecosystem. The protection of the Caspian seal, which lives exclusively in this basin, is one of the key issues requiring joint efforts from the littoral states.
According to Jurnalul Național, the Caspian Sea continues to play an important strategic role in the economic development, energy security, expansion of international transport links, and strengthening of regional cooperation for the coastal countries, including Azerbaijan.
