Students of the Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy (ASMA) of ASCO have achieved another milestone in the international innovation ecosystem.
According to sea-news.az that among the 200 projects selected for the next stage of the “Startup School 4: 5 Continents – 500 Startups” program, organized by “Enterprise Azerbaijan,” four projects developed by five ASMA students have been included.
Currently, the students are participating in an international training and mentorship program for their selected projects. The first training session within the program was conducted by Gonca Kara, a representative of the Malta-based company “Deep Tech Foundry,” on the topic of “Sustainable Economy: European Opportunities.”
Furthermore, specialists representing innovation ecosystems from countries such as Malta, Finland, Estonia, Australia, and India are providing individual mentorship support for the projects. The training covers critical areas, including the commercialization of innovations, the application of artificial intelligence technologies, attracting investment, business model development, technology transfer, and strategies for entering international markets.
The final stage of the program, “Demo Day,” will be held as part of the “TEI Forum 2026,” which is scheduled to take place at the Baku Convention Center on October 30–31, 2026.
