Azerbaijan was represented at the 76th session of the Technical Cooperation Committee held at the headquarters of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in London. The event was attended by Ramil Gasimov, Director of the International Relations Department of the State Maritime and Port Agency, and Narmin Nabiyeva, Acting Director of the Human Resources Department.
According to sea-news.az during the session, IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez and representatives of member states expressed their deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the Azerbaijani sailors who lost their lives in a UAV attack in the Sea of Azov earlier this month.
At the international event, a firm call was made that seafarers must not be targeted under any circumstances, and their crucial role in ensuring the uninterrupted flow of global trade was specially emphasized.
