Officers from the Water Transport Police Department, jointly with the Aquaculture and Fisheries Center under the Ministry of Agriculture, have identified another case of illegal fishing in the Caspian Sea.
According to sea-news.az investigations revealed that a 57-year-old Baku resident (N.Aliyev) had been engaged in illegal fishing activities in the Hovsan settlement area of Surakhani district.
During the inspection, authorities seized fishing equipment including two hook lines, a synthetic net, and a Yamaha-25 engine boat, along with 35 kütüm fish weighing a total of 31 kilograms.
An investigation is currently underway by the Water Transport Police Department regarding the incident.
