The French Navys aircraft carrier “Charles de Gaulle” is set to return to the port of Toulon in the coming days after completing its mission in the Arabian Sea, where it will undergo scheduled maintenance.
According to sea-news.az the decision follows a previously planned timetable linked to a technical inspection scheduled for July. The carrier’s deployment to the Middle East region was also part of this operational plan.
It is noted that the Charles de Gaulle departed Toulon on January 27, first participating in the “Orion” military exercises in the Baltic Sea, before continuing its operational route through the Eastern Mediterranean and into the Arabian Sea.
Reports indicate that regional tensions and the situation around the Strait of Hormuz also influenced operational planning.
The vessel is expected to return to France in the coming days and enter scheduled technical servicing.
