One of the Azerbaijani citizens who died as a result of a drone attack on two cargo vessels in the Sea of Azov on the night of June 5 was 50-year-old Rajab Aghadov, a resident of the Neftchala district.
According to sea-news.az citing Baku TV, the deceased’s father, Firudin Aghadov, recalled his son’s final conversation.
He said that R. Aghadov last spoke with his family while reporting that everything was fine and asked them not to worry:
“When we last spoke, he said everything was okay and told me not to worry. He said they were waiting for cargo. He also said he would inform us when they set sail. That was our final conversation. After 10 o’clock today, we received this heartbreaking news,” he said.
It should be noted that two cargo ships carrying a total of 25 Azerbaijani citizens were hit in the incident, resulting in the deaths of five people. Investigations are ongoing.
