Member of the Milli Majlis (Parliament), Deputy Bahruz Maharramov, a member of the Committee on Legal Policy and State Building, stated that the recent incident in the Sea of Azov shows that the safety of civilians is at serious risk in conflict and militarized zones.

According to sea-news.az citing Trend, that according to the deputy, the fact that Azerbaijani citizens who lost their lives in the incident were working individually as hired seafarers made their situation even more vulnerable. He noted that working in such high-risk areas is a personal choice, but the consequences can be extremely severe, and although the state protects the rights of its citizens abroad, it is impossible to ensure full safety in war zones.

The overall appeal is that Azerbaijani citizens, especially those working abroad, should avoid active conflict zones and not put their lives at risk.
