On May 21, 1858, with the establishment of the “Caucasus and Mercury” company, the foundations of national shipping were laid in our country.
Today, this historical legacy is successfully continued by the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO).
With its long-standing operations, ASCO is recognized as one of the oldest companies not only in Azerbaijan but in the entire Caucasus region that is still actively operating today.
