As part of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13 Azerbaijan) held in Baku, ASCO organized an info session at the AZCON Holding stand on the topic “The Role of the Shipping Sector in Reducing the Carbon Footprint of Cities.”
The session featured presentations on environmentally sustainable maritime transport, energy efficiency, green technologies, and innovative operational approaches contributing to sustainable urban development.
It was noted during the event that the modern shipping industry is no longer limited to cargo transportation alone, but also plays an important role in reducing carbon emissions and implementing environmentally sustainable transport solutions.
Participants were also introduced to ASCO’s ongoing “green” transformation projects and its future development goals.
