Another meeting was held at the State Maritime and Port Agency with seafarers serving at the management level on tanker vessels.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss existing opportunities and future prospects for fully staffing ships sailing under the Azerbaijani state flag in international waters with Azerbaijani seafarers.
The event included discussions on strengthening the national human resource potential in the maritime transport sector, improving the professional training of Azerbaijani seafarers in line with international standards, and expanding their employment opportunities in both local and international shipping industries.
During the meeting, participants listened to the proposals and opinions of seafarers and reviewed current challenges in the sector as well as possible measures to address them.
It was emphasized that increasing the representation of Azerbaijani seafarers in the national fleet would make an important contribution to the development of maritime human resources, the strengthening of the country’s maritime transport potential, and the competitiveness of national specialists in the international labor market.
