Future of Iranian oil shipments under discussion

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that most of the crude oil taken from Iranian tankers seized in the Indian Ocean is being redirected to the United States.

In an interview with Salem News Channel, he briefly said: “A large portion of it comes to the United States.”

Earlier, on May 1, during remarks in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump noted that U.S. military personnel had taken a firm stance in operations involving the seizure of tankers carrying Iranian oil, describing the actions as “resembling piracy.”

The issue has emerged amid escalating tensions in global maritime trade and energy transport routes.
