A bulk carrier has come under attack near the Iranian coast.
According to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) center, the incident occurred approximately 11 nautical miles (around 20.4 km) west of the city of Sirik.
The vessel’s captain reported that the attack was carried out by several small boats while the ship was heading north.
It was noted that all crew members are safe and no environmental damage has been reported.
The name of the vessel and further details have not yet been disclosed.
