An educational event dedicated to April 28 – World Day for Safety and Health at Work was organized by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT) and the State Maritime and Port Agency (SMPA).
The purpose of the event, held under the theme “Let’s Ensure a Healthy Psychosocial Work Environment!”, was to increase safety awareness in workplaces, promote a healthy psychosocial environment, and strengthen a proactive approach to safety.
During the event, MDDT Chief Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Consultant Elshan Huseynov, speaking on the importance of occupational safety, the formation of a safety culture, and the management of psychosocial risks, emphasized that safety is not only a set of rules but an integral part of every employee’s daily behavior.
SMPA OHS Senior Specialist Nigar Novruzova also made presentations, explaining potential risks that may arise in real work environments using a “worst-case scenario” approach.
Educational videos were shown during the event, along with quizzes and Q&A sessions.
At the end of the event, participants who demonstrated active engagement were awarded prizes.
