Another mass planting campaign called “The Green Port” was held in the territory of the Port of Baku. The “Baku International Sea Trade Port” CJSC, in cooperation with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, plans to plant 5,000 trees in accordance with the soil and climatic conditions of the area. The first day of the campaign was attended by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev, Director General of the Port of Baku Taleh Ziyadov and about 300 employees of both organizations. It should be noted that for the first time in the region, the Port of Baku, which was awarded the “EcoPorts” Certificate of Port Environmental Analysis System (PERS) of the “European Sea Ports Organization” (ESPO) in 2019, has always paid close attention to environmental issues.
