5.5 bcm of Azerbaijani gas delivered to Turkey via TANAP

Deliveries of Azerbaijani gas from the Shah Deniz field to Turkey via the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP) in the period from June 2018 to May 2020 amounted to 5.47 bcm.

According to the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, for January-May 2020, gas supplies through this pipeline amounted to 1.6 bcms.

Commercial deliveries of Azerbaijani gas via TANAP to the Turkish market began on June 30, 2018.

The construction of the TANAP gas pipeline began in August 2015. The total expenses of the main gas pipeline, with an initial throughput of 16 bcm per year, amounted to $ 6.5 billion.

The shareholders of the TANAP project are: SOCAR (51%), SOCAR Turkiye Enerji (7%), BOTAS (30%), BP (12%).
