The Georgia International Maritime Forum 2026 (GIMF 2026)—recognized as one of the region’s and global maritime industry’s significant events—will be held in Batumi, Georgia, on September 7–8.

Sea-news.az reports citing the Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia, that the event will take place under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Georgia, with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and organized by the Maritime Transport Agency.

The event is expected to bring together up to 400 delegates from 40 countries. The forum will assemble transport ministers from various nations, heads of maritime administrations, secretaries-general of international transport and logistics organizations, as well as representatives from international financial institutions, private enterprises, and academic circles. A primary priority of the forum will be showcasing the transit potential of the Middle Corridor across the Black Sea basin and globally strengthening regional transport connectivity.

Extensive discussions during the event will focus on sustainable maritime transport, digital innovations in shipping, public-private partnerships (PPP), and regional logistics integration. Held since 2016, the GIMF forum aims to solidify Georgia’s position as a key maritime and transit hub in the Black Sea region.
