President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on the establishment of the “Digital Communication” information system and the regulation of related issues to enhance digitalization, administrative efficiency, and user satisfaction in the telecommunications and postal sectors.
Sea-news.az reports the new system will play a key role in ensuring transparency, speed, and efficiency in ICT regulation and oversight, as well as in interactions between state institutions, private entities, and citizens.
Under the decree, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport will serve as the system’s owner, while the Information and Communication Technologies Agency will act as the operator. The platform will be hosted on the “Government Cloud” and integrated into the Electronic Government Information System.
