The Azerbaijani maritime community is mourning a heavy loss. Our colleague, Captain Samad Nasrullayev of the dry cargo ship Atlas Bey, which was attacked near the port of Sulina, Ukraine, has tragically lost his life.
According to sea-news.az that the Chairman of the “Seafarers’ Public Union,” Ilham Nasirov, confirmed the news.
The fire and sabotage caused by the unexpected attack on the ship have deeply saddened not only the crew but the entire maritime community. The fact that Captain Samad Nasrullayev became a victim of a ruthless attack while fulfilling his professional duty has been met with profound grief.
As the “Support for Azerbaijani Seafarers” Public Union, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and the entire maritime community. His dedication and service to the maritime profession will always be remembered with respect.
