Admission for Second Higher Education
According to sea-news.az the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) and the Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy (ASMA) have announced the admission process for second higher education on a paid, part-time basis for the 2026/2027 academic year in the following specialties:
- 6006006 – Marine Navigation Engineering
- 6006012 – Operation of Ship Power Systems Engineering
Applications for second higher education are submitted electronically via the portal.edu.az platform. Applicants must submit the required documents online and, if they meet the criteria, will be granted the right to pursue a second higher education degree.
The application period runs from June 9, 2026, to August 24, 2026.
Candidates registered on portal.edu.az will be invited for an interview at the Academy. Applicants must present the following documents at the interview:
- Application addressed to the Rector
- Notarized copy of higher education diploma and transcript
- Certificate from place of employment (for employed applicants)
- Six 3×4 size photographs
- Copy of ID card
- Medical certificate
- Certificate of residence
Annual tuition fee: 3,800 AZN.
During their studies, students will be provided with an academic diploma, seafarer’s discharge book, seafarer’s identity document, and relevant certificates.
Note: Individuals who obtained higher education abroad after 1993 may apply only after their diplomas are recognized by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan in accordance with current regulations.
Applicants’ previous education records must be reflected in the State Electronic Information System “Student-Graduate” (TM DEMS).
