A group of tourism guides have undergone practical training at the “Surakhani” Ship-Museum.
According to sea-news.az citing Seanews.az, the initiative was implemented within the framework of a training program organized by the Azerbaijan Tourism Guides Association (ATBA), which includes both theoretical and practical components for tour guides. The aim is to align guides’ professional skills with international standards, expand their career development opportunities, and strengthen their professional networking.
Professional staff of the ship-museum provided detailed guidance to around 50 participating guides, covering tour guiding techniques, exhibition presentation methods, and general museum operations.
The young guides also had the opportunity to explore the rich exhibits of the world’s first tanker-museum and learn about the innovative technologies applied there.
The choice of the “Surakhani” Ship-Museum for training was not accidental, as the museum is a frequent point of interest for foreign visitors, especially participants of international events held in Azerbaijan. For this reason, the Azerbaijan Tourism Guides Association places special importance on cooperation with the museum.
