The U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) has announced that a Navy aircraft carrier strike group has entered the Caribbean Sea.

The information was shared via SOUTHCOMS official account on the social platform “X”.

According to the statement, the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier and its accompanying strike group have been deployed to the region. The command emphasized that the group is demonstrating combat readiness and operational capabilities across different areas.

The post included the message: “USS Nimitz Carrier Strike Group, welcome to the Caribbean Sea!”

This increase in military activity comes after the Cuban government strongly criticized U.S. accusations against Raul Castro.
