Measures will be taken to address and prevent the shallowing of the Caspian Sea.
Sea-news.az reports this issue is reflected in the draft law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027,” which was submitted for discussion at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.
The draft states that the socio-economic impacts of the Caspian Sea’s shallowing will be formally assessed, and a national adaptation mechanism will be established.
