Today, the economic and strategic significance of the Caspian Sea is steadily growing. Key transport and energy corridors traverse the Caspian Sea, where major international infrastructure projects are being actively realized.
Sea-news.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks during the expanded session of the Caspian Ecological Summit held in the city of Turkmenbashi.
The Head of State emphasized:
“In these circumstances, it is vital to preserve the Caspian Sea as a zone of peace, stability, and constructive partnership. This serves the interest of all Caspian littoral states and creates the necessary conditions for the further advancement of our multilateral cooperation.”
