U.S. authorities have reportedly confiscated Iranian crude oil.

Sea-news.az reports with reference to the “Azad Iran” Telegram channel that this was disclosed by the ship-tracking service “TankerTrackers.”

According to the service, a total of approximately 6 million barrels of crude oil were confiscated by the U.S. The total value of the oil is estimated at nearly 600 million dollars.

According to the report, tankers detained in the Indian Ocean in May of this year are currently crossing the Atlantic Ocean, heading toward the U.S. coast.

Tehran officially regards these actions by Washington as an “act of state piracy” and an illegal appropriation of resources belonging to the Iranian people.
